Yayyyy we have results!
From 9 voters, the final results are, totaling both first and second choices together:
Rise of Sirius: 6
The Sun Kingdom: The Sword of Myn’: 2
Ransom: Heart of Ice: 1
Haunting Melody: The Haunting of Sea-Glass Cove: 7
Technically, Rise of Sirius won as the first choice in Poll A, but Haunting Melody holds first place in terms of total votes. . .

I guess we’re releasing two stories instead of one.
Apologies to anyone who’s waiting anxiously for Chapter IX of Rise of Sirius: I’ll be re-releasing Rise of Sirius from now (starting Thursday) through the next few months, until we’re all caught up!
Haunting Melody will make its appearance most likely from August through October. I don’t expect to be able to run it week by week as I did with the introductory tale, but the re-releasing of Sirius will give me time to both write ahead on it, and also get a head start on The Haunting of Sea-Glass Cove.
P.S. — Raise your hand if you didn’t get to read In the Shadow of the Lilac! For less than $5 a month—and I’m sure you excellent readers can read it in just a month!—you can access Haunting Melody #1: In the Shadow of the Lilac until it’s published next year. The physical copy is likely to be $10-$15, so access it while you’re able!
For those voting for The Sun Kingdom, not to worry! While this will be temporarily pushed back, as Ransom: Heart of Ice may be as well, it also means that I will be entirely focused on this epic when it returns. I believe that this is what it needs, as the eldest of my novels and probably the closest I’ll come to my writing own Middle-Earth-sized tale. It’s okay for it to need all of my writing time, and will give my readers the best possible experience with it, too!
That said, be on the lookout for the re-release of Chapter IV of Rise of Sirius this Thursday, as well as the new logo and wordmark for Windflower, soon to be Star-Spun.
In the meantime, if you have not yet started Rise of Sirius or In the Shadow of the Lilac, feel free to read the first few chapters. Enjoy!
Rise of Sirius: II: Stormy Weather
It was already a quarter past noon when Reid pulled into the brick drive before the Hope family’s home. With its terraced and sculpted gardens, Tudor paneling, and the little windowed tower perched upon the gables, peering over the trees into the distant bay, 5 Gracefield Lane had been in his family since its construction in 1902.
Rise of Sirius: III: Cleopatra VIII
Reid’s eyes snapped upwards as he pivoted, stepping back to shield Aphrodite.
In the Shadow of the Lilac: I: Whispers
Welcome to this limited spooky serial! Expect a new chapter on the 15th, 21st, 25th, and the 31st of October at 5:30 pm EST.
Windflower is fully supported by its audience. Instead of buying me a coffee, you can purchase my novels or leave a donation which will go towards the purchase of fabric for interactive projects, where you’ll be able to vote on what historical dress or film costume I’ll recreate! Donations also help to continue creating Windflower’s content and to support the local Latin Mass.

Ah, now I don't have to figure out restack-blast etiquette for paid posts...yet. Haha. I'm happy to ride along with the re-release in the meantime!
Star-Spun is such a pretty name! I'm looking forward to it!
