Star-Spun: Windflower 2.0
Good morning!
You’ll notice by this email that Windflower has switched over to its new name and theme: Star-Spun.
I kept the outline of the Windflower anemone and the swirling motif, so that there is some continuity here, as with the presence of some pink. It isn’t really any less feminine, despite my original plan, but it feels like a fairytale!
My thought of using less pink didn’t happen as much as I thought it might… different shades for the accents, but it still felt right. Pink is a little easier on the eyes than shades of blue and purple, besides!
Please note, I’ve used Substack’s one-time URL change that avoids breaking all old links, so all previous Windflower links will continue to function. The new URL has my name (minus the French accents) as the subdomain, in case of any future changes, and hopefully a plus in discoverability, as well.
Beyond the official changes here, I’ve also created master directories for each of the three main fiction sections, which will remain pinned to those sections for easy access, as well as an official guidebook to the site! You’ll find the links to these below. The guidebook will remain pinned on the homepage, and you’ll be able to find all previous posts and directories within it.
I also de-paywalled a few pieces during the organization, so feel free to peruse and see what’s available!
